Totem.earth Turns a Web3 Landing Page Into a WebGL Ritual Object

OFF+BRAND’s Totem.earth wraps a Web3 ecosystem in smoke, light, and a draggable Three.js object that does most of the branding before the copy gets a turn.

What it is

Totem.earth is a crypto/metaverse microsite from OFF+BRAND that behaves less like a pitch deck and more like a strange object you found glowing in a dark room. The preserved version opens with smoke, vertical light, heavy black space, and a draggable Three.js/WebGL totem that gives the whole page a little ritual machinery. You scroll through ecosystem copy, roadmap pieces, partner cards, and glowing interface fragments, but the useful trick is that the 3D symbol does most of the branding before the words arrive.

The original domain now appears dead, which is very Web3 fossil record, but the OFF+BRAND-hosted version still makes the point. This picked up Awwwards SOTD, Awwwards Mobile Excellence, FWA of the Day, and CSSDA of the Day. Worth poking at for the atmosphere alone: drag the totem, watch how smoke and light blur foreground UI into background scene, then compare it with the case study to see how much of the strategy is carried by motion instead of copy.
